Follow the smell of fresh baking cinnamon buns and bread at Waskesiu Trading Company, only a half block from your guest room. On your way back check out LA Outfitters; a well established designer dress shop with unique fashion for all occasions.
Located directly behind The Hawood Inn is “Fresh Hair Salon & Spa”, “FishTales Gallery”, “Escape Room” and the well stocked “Silver Fox Liquor Store”.
A quick block away is the “Friends of the Park Book Store” and the “Waskesiu Heritage Museum”. On the lakefront is a newly renovated Nature Center with interactive displays for kids of all ages.
Waskesiu boasts the “Twin Pine Cinemas” which has two current movies and showtimes daily. Fresh popcorn and treats round out a great day at the lake.
Shopping is abundant as the Hawood Inn is surrounded by multiple clothing shops & cafes.
Group activities can include a round on Waskesiu Lobstick Golf Course, tennis lessons, and our newly opened mini golf. Your family will make great memories on our well appointed “Bears on the Beach Playground”.
Prince Albert National Park hosts three premium marinas offering boat launches, rentals, fishing licenses and guided pontoon boat tours.

Still up for more adventure? Just outside the park gates you will find a top-notch ZipLine offering family fun with sky bridges and over 4000 feet of zip line. Treeosix Adventures is located by a second area Golf Course, Elkridge Resort. Push your boundaries and challenge your fears with the newest “sibling” of the Treeosix Adventure Parks’ family!
The Grey Owl Center, located in downtown Waskesiu, is famous for the bright yellow “Little Deuce Coupe” quadra cycle. You can rent bicycles for all ages, bicycles built for two, and off-road bikes; everything you need for a fun ride, including helmets. Also for rent are outdoor adventure equipment like canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and peddle boats. They also offer on-site wireless hotspot and internet stations.
The Waskesiu Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Western Canada. Visit their pristine grounds for a game or stop by their Clubhouse and Pro Shop to take in the sights. Designed by the legendary Stanley Thompson and built in the 1930s, it incorporates all of the classic Thompson trademarks, the foremost of which is the use of the natural landscape. Stanley Thompson is regarded as one of the greatest course designers to have ever lived.
